Crosscode plans to bolster risk mitigation insights offering with series A round

Crosscode, a company based in Maple Grove, Minnesota received $9.3 million in early stage series A funding from undisclosed investors in May.

The company intends to use the funding to expand the services of Crosscode through Panoptics and further develop its sales and marketing branches.

Crosscode specializes in software analysis and governance through a software dubbed Panoptics. The company’s platform is intended to save clients time and money by eliminating IT systems disruptions by analyzing certain aspects of the software environment; the insights gleaned assist clients in making business decisions with the full scope of knowledge about its IT systems.

The company’s platform provides four main features. The first is discovery, which entails the mapping of the uses of a client’s IT systems in one of the most thorough methods on the market, according to Crosscode. The company next analyzes the map to identify specific problem areas in the system, such as security issues. Third, the Crosscode platform enables clients to apply rules that will govern its operating system. Therefore, the platform will automatically detect changes that present risk or do not comport with the rules – before the changes are implemented. Crosscode’s fourth feature is the audit, which makes a chronological record of all past events within the system.

Aditya Sharma, Crosscode’s CEO, said in a press release, “We are gratified by the investor confidence in our mission. We look forward to using this capital to develop our business and the Panoptics platform, and provide exceptional value to our customers, whether their needs lie in change management or cybersecurity.”

Sharma and Soumik Sarkar founded Crosscode in the greater Minneapolis area in 2015. Sharma had significant experience in big enterprise companies such as HP, IBM, and Cisco. Sarkar had experience as a product developer and has spent years developing innovative ideas into useful technology.
