The Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Nebraska
The center sponsors conferences, competitions and community outreach programs to create growth and competition in local businesses.
The University of Nebraska Technology Development Office
The mission of the Technology Development Office is to maximize the value of intellectual property resulting from research at the University of Nebraska by commercializing inventions and technologies to benefit the state, university, inventors and licensees; creating economic development outreach efforts; and nurturing entrepreneurial activity.
The University of Nebraska Rural Initiative
The University of Nebraska Rural Initiative focus the knowledge, skills, and creativity on the four NU campuses (Kearney, Lincoln, Omaha and the Medical Center) upon stabilizing and enhancing the economy and quality of life in nonmetropolitan Nebraska. We are committed to working in partnership with federal, state, and local governments, communities, businesses, agriculture, nonprofits and other institutions of higher education to achieve our mission.

The Nebraska Advantage rewards businesses that invest in the state and hire Nebraskans. The Angel Capital Association is North America’s professional alliance of angel groups. This fast-growing association brings together the 200 angel organizations in the United States and Canada to share best practices, network, and help develop data about the field of angel investing.
US Securities and Exchange Commission
The primary mission of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is to protect investors and maintain the integrity of the securities markets. The SEC requires public companies to disclose meaningful financial and other information to the public, which provides a common pool of knowledge for all investors to use to judge for themselves if a company’s securities are a good investment. The SEC also oversees other key participants in the securities world, including stock exchanges, broker-dealers, investment advisors, mutual funds, and public utility holding companies.

University of Nebraska Medical Center – UNeMed
UNeMed is a service-oriented corporation that functions as the interface between UNMC and Industry to promote UNMC technology development and economic development in Omaha. In cooperation with UNMC inventors and Intellectual Property Office, UNeMed facilitates the transfer of the technologies invented on campus into the market place.
Nebraska Business Development Center
The Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) offers start-up, management and technical assistance to entrepreneurs and small business owners from offices throughout the state.
